The video below will provide you an overview of the villas rooms and the grounds and area that surround the house. This includes the kitchen and living area, the two bedroom apartment and the outside covered deck, with hammocks a wet bar, pool, jet tub and the grounds which include coconut trees, lime, mango trees as well as croton and pink, orange and white bougainvillea.

Situated at the corner of Turnstone and Teal at the bottom of Turnstone is access to Long Beach and it's secluded beach and sand dunes which is a hidden gem for kite and wind surfers which you can watch from the pool deck at LBV or get right in the action and get equipment and lessons from our local neighbour and friend Brian Talma at deAction Shop at Silver Sands.

The pool deck has perimeter lighting and includes an outdoor shower to wash off before or after using the pool and ample space for the sun loungers or playing some bocci ball on the lawn.

Books could be written on the things to do in Barbados - while only 34 kilometres (21 miles) in length and 23 km (14 mi) in width what it lacks in pure size it makes up in a diverse set of shores and activities and exploration.

The HARP Space Gun is something totally off the beaten path with an interesting history, this is just one of the many interesting adventures you can find that awaits you in Barbados. Besides Space Guns and other man made artifacts the natural beauty of Barbados changes dramatically depending on the coast from the rugged East Coast

to the calm and tranquil waters of the West Coast with it's pink sand beaches

or the South Coast with it's mix of both calm beaches like Miami (Enterprise) Beach and it's surfing and kiting areas and hidden beach areas like Merrick's Cove  

or for evening entertainment life like Surfer's Beach Bar which is 5 minute drive from the villa with it's live music, reasonable lunches and dinners and excellent rum cocktails and ice cold beers

or it's more sports oriented activities like Surfer's Point (where Justin Bieber has been known to practice) or Long Beach there is something for everyone.

Regardless if your idea is sipping a drink on a lounger while reading or  maybe something more active like Para-gliding, Surfing Scuba Diving, Snorkeling or playing a round of golf at Barbados Golf Club at some of the more fancier clubs such as Sandy Lane or Apes Hill - there is something for everyone on any given day.

Some recommendations would be to rent a car (maybe a Mini Moke?)

for some or all of your trip to explore. While the bus system is excellent it can be at times a little unpredictable but can be an awesome adventure if you ride in one of the many "boogie buses" or the larger more traditional large buses (some of which are now 100% electric) - but if your in no hurry there is a boogie bus stop at the top of Seaview Road a 10 minute walk from the Villa as part of the Silver Sand route.

As for night life - Oistin's Fish Fry, Saint Lawerence Gap, Harbour Lights or any of the more upscale restaurants and clubs are never far away.

As you can see there are plenty of exciting things to do in Barbados, and as a guest at Long Breeze Villa, you'll have easy access to some of the island's most popular attractions. Here are just a few ideas mentioned to get you started:

1. Water Sports: With Long Beach and Silver Sands Beach both nearby, water sports enthusiasts will be in heaven. In addition to windsurfing and kitesurfing, you can also try your hand at surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, or even jet skiing.
2. Explore the South Coast: Take a drive along the scenic South Coast of Barbados and discover some of the island's hidden gems. Stop by Oistins Fish Fry for a taste of local cuisine, explore the rugged coastline at the beautiful Miami Beach, or visit the historic town of Bridgetown.
3. Wildlife Encounters: Barbados is home to a variety of fascinating wildlife, including green monkeys, sea turtles, and exotic birds. Take a guided tour of the Barbados Wildlife Reserve to see these creatures up close, or take a boat trip to swim with the sea turtles in their natural habitat.
4. Rum Tasting: No visit to Barbados would be complete without sampling the island's famous rum. Take a tour of the Mount Gay Rum Distillery or the Foursquare Rum Distillery and learn about the history and production of this beloved Caribbean beverage.

Long Beach is a quiet stretch of sand on the Atlantic shores. Straight across the ocean lies Cape Verde making Barbados not only the gateway to the Caribbean but also Long Beach one of the first horizons sailors making the great Atlantic crossing will spot as landfall after many weeks of passage. As they voyage across the Southern Tip of Barbados close to Surfer's point they will typically traverse up the West Coast to the Bridgetown area. Since Long Beach and the South Coast is not as urbanized as the West Coast and not as rugged as the East Coast it affords a relaxed environment with the best of both worlds to watch the boats roll in as well as enjoy the evening sounds of the waves crashing on the surf and clear nights for star and meteor spotting without all the light pollution you would get in the more dense parts of the island.

It allows you to use the capabilities built into all modern cell phones (GPS) and leverage it to find hidden spots and caches that are maintained by a global community of volunteers. It's a great way to discover new places locally but also while you are on vacation!

There are a number of geocaches in Barbados including one hidden on the public roadside of Long Breeze Villa! We won't give away too much but your first cache could be right outside the villa. Promise though you won't be bothered by any geocachers unless you want to say hello.
